A Plan for The Future
Consumers of today and tomorrow expect the products they buy to be produced in a sustainable manner, with minimum environmental impact and traceable provenance.
Construction of a new distillery sited on land at Charlesfield near Melrose, will create new jobs and utilise its own renewable energy.

Distillation Process
Processes in the new distillery are designed to produce new-make spirit efficiently and consistently using the latest technology in mashing, fermentation and distillation areas.

Design Approach
The aim was to create a stylish new home for the Jackson Distillery to support its efficient operation. But whilst the purpose of the building is industrial, the design elevates Jackson Distillery above other grain distilleries in Scotland, with aesthetics indicative of its function.

Creating Identity
A clean industrial aesthetic has been applied to the building, using robust materials that identify purpose and create identity for the brand.
But to create an appealing arrival to the site, there was an opportunity to screen much of the industrial elements.
However, in the main building which houses administration and marketing suites, enticing glimpse views into the still house are accommodated.
