We’re looking for a talented and ambitious designer with at least five years’ professional experience to join our Glasgow studio.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly, collaborative team, working alongside experienced architects and designers to create inspiring, sustainable, and innovative spaces for clients across a diverse range of sectors.

The Role
As a Designer at MLA, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion. Working as part of the wider project team, you will:
- Produce project information using Revit and other industry-standard software
- Collaborate with architects, designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop design solutions that respond to client needs, budgets, and project requirements
- Prepare and coordinate technical and construction information
- Contribute throughout all RIBA work stages, from early concepts through to site delivery
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with strong technical ability and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Essential:
- Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a design practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
- Experience taking projects from concept to construction
- Ability to produce detailed working drawing packages
- Knowledge of FF&E, materials, finishes, and specifications
- Understanding of all RIBA work stages
- Ability to manage project budgets and respond to client briefs
- Strong teamwork skills and experience supporting junior staff
Desirable:
- Experience using Revit (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Knowledge of NBS specification writing

Salary: £30,000–£36,000, depending on experience
