Herald Property Awards 2026

A proud night for the ‘Fern House’ project team, picking up the Herald Property Award for ‘Residential Regeneration Project of the Year’.

Completed in August 2025, this first phase of the McLeod Street development brought the B-listed Tynecastle school back into use 15 years after it closed.

Key architectural features and spaces have been retained and restored, including the main stair and its intricate glazed cupola. Contemporary interventions have given the building a viable long-term use for the University of Edinburgh.

In addition, our client AMA picked up the award for Apartment of the Year for their Village View development.
